Same Day Dental Crowns – CEREC®

Our same-day dental crown procedure using CEREC® technology is all about convenience. The length for a dental crown treatment is typically determined by a number of factors including the location of the tooth, extent of damage or decay, materials needed and lab time to produce the permanent crown. The goal at Stanton Smiles is to quickly and conveniently solve a problem that would normally take 20 days in just one visit.

Get the smile you want in one simple visit

In the past this was not always possible. Complicated and large dental problems took at least two to three visits to complete. This can cost the patient time and money, not to mention the lengthy discomfort, social issues and increased chance of complications.

The traditional and most common way to create a porcelain restoration takes anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks depending on severity of the case and the work the laboratory has to do. During this time, the patient has to live with temporary restorations made of acrylic materials that often come off, break or are uncomfortable. As A Fort Lauderdale Dentist, Dr. Robert Stanton wants to provide the quickest and most efficient treatment to all his patients. Now he can!

Porcelain Restorations in Minutes!

Thanks to the technology we have today dentists have the ability to create porcelain restorations not only in the same appointment but also in minutes.  No need for molds, temps, multiple visits and of course, multiple injections.

How is this possible you ask?  These procedures are now possible using Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. Restoring a single tooth with its permanent porcelain restoration can now be done in less than an hour. Even larger cases can now be started and completed quickly the same day.

Just like traditional porcelain restorations the teeth are numbed and prepared. But, instead of taking a mold, we scan using an LED camera. Then a PC creates a 3D model of the patient’s teeth and a porcelain restoration is designed and created in an extraordinary machine with specialized software in a matter of minutes.  Finally the restoration is ready for permanent placement on the tooth.

You might be wondering if computer-made restorations are as efficient and durable as traditional lab created restorations. These CADCAM restorations are as good or even clinically superior to man-made restorations in terms of fit, accuracy, durability and esthetics. CAD/CAM restorations have been studied for almost 30 years and their performance history is well established in literature.

If a busy schedule doesn’t allow you to visit your dentist several times but you need quality restorations Single Visit Crowns is the answer. For the most durable, must esthetic and convenient crowns and veneers in Fort Lauderdale, contact Stanton Smiles today!
